Yad Vashem and the Human Heart

This could be one of those pictures that describe the hard work of Israelis in reforesting the desert. However if we look beyond the trees we will see a triangular building known as Yad Vashem and the Holocaust Museum. There the visitor makes a tour through the history of the Holocaust in a complete manner. The person who pass by that place ever again the same person.

Many times we believe we already have enough information about what happened in Nazi Europe, but ignore it and surprised evenimagine such barbarity that has come as a culturally brilliantEuropean civilization as one in which such horrors occurred. In addition to the museum complex there are other monuments intribute to victims, including soldiers communities a place of honor to non-Jews who fought to save these lives during the 

It makes us think hard about the potential evil that exists in each oneof us. The first lesson I learned here is that just a tiny seed of animosity planted in our hearts to create proportions whose roots go as far as mass murder. The word of God constantly calls us against this danger. when he says in Jeremiah 17:9-10: The heart is deceitful, more than all things and desperately wicked: who can know? I the LORD search the heart and try the reins, even to giveevery man according to his ways, according to the fruit of their actions.

Muitas vezes cremos que já temos informações suficientes sobre o que aconteceu na Europa nazista, mas ignoramos e nos surpreendemos até em imaginar tamanha barbaridade a que tenha chegado uma civilização européia tão culturalmente brilhante como aquela em que ocorreram tais horrores. Além do complexo do museu existem outros monumentos de tributos às vítimas, comunidades soldados inclusive um espaço de honra aos não judeus que lutaram para salvar vidas  destes durante o holocausto.

Faz-nos refletir bastante sobre o mau em potencial que existe em cada um de nós. A primeira lição que aprendi ali é que basta uma pequena semente de animosidade plantada em nosso coração para criar raízes cujas proporções chegam ao ponto de assassinato em massa. A palavra de Deus nos exorta constantemente contra este perigo. em Jeremias 17:9-10 quando diz: Enganoso é o coração, mais do que todas as coisas, e perverso; quem o conhecerá? Eu, o SENHOR, esquadrinho o coração e provo os rins; e isto para dar a cada um segundo os seus caminhos e segundo o fruto das suas ações.
